5 1/2' Goodwin Granger Company bamboo casting rod Granger Special sock & tube NR

This auction is for a 5 1/2' two-piece split-bamboo casting rod by the Goodwin Granger Company. Rod is ink stamped Granger Special just above handle on bottom flat. Base of reel seat is stamped MADE BY GOODWIN GRANGER COMPANY DENVER - see photo. Grooved down twisting reel seat is in very good condition. Cork handle is in good condition with no ridging. Nickel silver ferrule fits well and separates with a strong pop. Male slide measures approximately .296" (size 19). Varnish is rough with several chips and areas off minor meltdown - stable and fishable as is but rod is an excellent candidate for a restoration. Rod looks to be in original condition with tan/light gold thread wraps. Original Chromium guides. Includes a non original sock and tube. See pictures for full description. Sold as shown.
