8 1/2' 3/2 Winchester model 6005 - Edwards built bamboo fly rod VG/EX NR

This auction is for a Winchester split-bamboo fly rod in very good to excellent condition. Top of reel seat is stamped WINCHESTER - TRADE MARK - MADE IN U.S.A. 6005. Rod was most likely built by the Edwards Rod Co. Beautiful red wraps tipped black with full intermediates. Agate stripping guide. Hook keeper. Blued ferrules in good condition - pop when separated. Male slide on tips measures approximately .172 and mid slide approximately .230". Original sheet cork grip is in very good condition as is the rod overall. Full intermediate wraps and magnificent signature wraps reminiscent to those fount on Kosmic rods. Varnish is in excellent condition. All sections are full length and complete each measuring approximately 34 3/8" long. Great action - feels like a 5wt to me but could see using a DT4 too. Very nice, fully restored Winchester trade rod ready to add to the collection or take fishing. See pictures for full description. Sold as shown.
