    Description

Own a piece of the old Yankee Stadium. This is a chunk of demolished Batters Eye " Black Bleachers" from centerfield. This part of the stadium was actually closed off from spectators to serve as a black/blank background for hitters (know as the "batters eye"). This is an authentic/certified by Steiner Sports piece of the stadium from when the old Yankee Stadium was demolished in 2008. The original stadium was built in 1923 and was renovated in 1976. The "new" Yankee Stadium which opened in 2009, sits across the street from the old stadium. Who could forget Reggie Jackson's 3rd Home Run of the 1977 World Series Game six that landed in this area? Truly a piece of Yankee history! The piece is numbered and mounted on a wood plaque with a descriptive narrative highlighting its significance. The plaque measures 8 in X 10 in. and the Certificate of Authenticity from Steiner Sports is included, overall excellent condition for its age (see photos). Also including a commemorative coin issued for the final year of the old stadium (7/8 " in diameter-see front and back pix). A great addition to your Yankee shrine or man cave! Shipped Fedex Ground or Home Delivery. Thanks for looking!
