For auction is a pretty nice old vintage split bamboo fly fishing rod. This rod is an Argus, by Arai Fishing Goods, Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan. This rod is a three-section bamboo with a Japaned black finish. Assembled, it appears to be about 8 foot long (each section is roughly 33" long). I do not know the model number of this rod. It's in overall very good condition - only see one nick area out of the finish, on the butt section; the chrome/nickel finish has worn off many areas on the fittings; small rubber knob at base of handle may have worn/broken off; all the eyes appear to be original and have their original wraps. One noticeable thing - the grip cork is covered with what looks like plastic, like new rods come, and I chose to just leave it there. Might mean some pretty pristine cork.
