Vintage Wright McGill Trailmaster 7 1/2' M4TMU spin or fly rod. This is a great combination rod for either spin or fly fishing. This rod is in fair to good shape. It is a great travel rod and perfect for hiking. The cork handle has sustained some damage from being strapped to a backpack frame (see photos). All joints and guides are perfect.
The oval brass color Logo Shield reads: “EAGLE CLAW, A PRODUCT OF WRIGHT & McGILL CO. and bears A FLYING EAGLE IMAGE” the rod portion with the handle is inscribed “Wright & McGill, Trailmaster – 7 ½’ No. 4TMU, trade mark, LINE-DT-4-F, drawing of an EAGLE over the letter B”, the part of the handle that mounts the reel is stamped; “WRIGHT & McGILL, DENVER COLORADO, USA” The reel mount functions and is in perfect condition.
An aluminum travel storage tube and a cloth liner bag are NOT included with this rod.
